Avoid all processed foods

Most foods we consume have been processed in some way by the time they reach our table. However, the concern about processed foods isn’t over items like canned tomatoes or canned tuna, which are processed to lock in freshness and nutrients. The concern is over more heavily processed foods like biscuits, chips, sauces and processed meats.

Health Risks;

  1. Increased cancer risk.
  2. Too much sugar, sodium and fat.
  3. Lacking in nutritional value.
  4. Calorie dense and addicting.
  5. Loaded with artificial ingredients.

Ways to limit intake;

  1. Check the label.
  2. Opt for minimally processed meats.
  3. Replace slowly.
  4. Cook more meals at home.
